Ninety-six players from eight countries, including hosts India, will take part in the 'UTT 6th Asian School Table Tennis Championships' beginning here on Tuesday, it was announced on Monday.
Besides India, players from Bangladesh, China, Nepal, Indonesia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, among others, will participate in the tournament which will conclude on August 21, president of the Table Tennis Association of Baroda (TTAB) Jayaben Thakkar told reporters.
She also informed that Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju will visit the tournament on August 14.
"Two teams from each country -- boys and girls teams from eight countries -- will take part in seven different categories," added Thakker.
