India football Captain Sunil Chhetri today said he would return to Sporting Lisbon to complete his contract obligations but has decided to play domestic football if the Portugal club rejects his plea for a loan to some other club.
"There are pretty good offers but I still have to go back to Portugal. I will go and talk to them. If things do not work out there in terms of playing time, then I might come back here. I don't want to sit on the benches," he told reporters here.
The former Sporting Kansas player, Chhetri said in the last six months that he had been to Portugal he has played six matches which wasn't good for him. "I started to sulk (sitting on the bench). That is not good for me," he said.

"I came back here and played some matches. That was great. For me it is not the money and the club. I am going soon to Portugal in next couple of weeks," he said.
Chhetri, in a withdrawal striker role, played a key part in the fag- end of the league as Churchill lifted the I-League trophy.
On Confederations Cup finals between world champions Spain and Brazil, Chhetri said he is a Spain supporter, but playing Brazil in their backyard will not be easy for them.
"Arguably the best two teams are in the finals. It is going to be a massive, massive match. Both teams want to keep the ball. It will be good to see Neymar playing against his Barcelona counterparts," he said.
