Expressing displeasure over use of money power and cross-voting during Rajya Sabha and Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Elections, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari today said he had not witnessed such a 'loathsome' murder of democracy in his 36 years of political journey.

MLAs of all the parties cross-voted during Council and RS polls which is not a good indicator for democracy, Tiwari said.

He said that cross-voting by six Congress MLAs was unfortunate.

"I have never seen such a loathsome murder of democracy in 36 years of my political journey. The results clearly indicate that BJP was not acceptable," he said.

Tiwari said BJP should be renamed as "Modi and Shah Private Limited Company".

Asked about the possibility of him being projected as a 'Brahmin' face in 2017 UP elections, he said he was not keen.
