A musical night of Indian classical music

Want to soak in the musical genius of stalwarts like Pandit Jasraj and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, under an open starlit sky, surrounded by the beautiful architecture of master architect Charles Correa?

Head to Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur for 'Raag', an overnight concert on November 4.

The musical evening will open with a rendition by Mohammad Aman at the Kendra's amphitheatre 'Madhyavarti', followed by a tabla recital by Pandita Anuradha Pal.

The midnight will unfold with a flute recital by Pandit Chaurasia.

A sarangi performance by Ustad Liyaqat Ali Khan along with Rimpa Shiva on tabla, and vocalist Ashwini Bhide- Deshpande's rendition of 'Jasrangji Jugalbandi' with Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar, are among other performances to look forward to at the event.
 

"Looking at the enthusiastic response of the audience at the first and one-of-its-kind programme of 'Raag' last year, we are excited to once again host the concert this year featuring several world renowned maestros of Indian classical music," Pooja Sood, DG of Jawahar Kala Kendra, said.

The event will be brought to a close by a performance by Pandit Jasraj.

The concert is scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm and will continue till 5 am.
