A2Z Infra Engineering jumps 12% on order win in Nepal

Nepal government awarded the firm a $13.56 million contract for expansion of electricity distribution network

Shares of A2Z Infra Engineering surged nearly 12% today after the company won a $13.56 million (around Rs 90 crore) contract from Nepal government for expansion of electricity distribution network.

The stock gained 11.79% to Rs 34.60 on BSE.

At NSE, shares of the company jumped 12.15% to Rs 34.60.

A contract has been awarded from Nepal Electricity Authority, a Nepal government undertaking on June 10, A2Z Infra had said in a BSE filing.

The contract is for expansion of distribution network in the Western Region of Nepal. The award has been made for a "contract price aggregating to $1,35,63,420.77," the company said.
 

The award was given on the basis of a global tender, it added.
