AAI, French civil aviation authority sign MoU to boost ties

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the French civil aviation authority DGAC today to further technical cooperation between the two countries.

The MoU was signed by Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India and A K Dutta, Member, AAI.

The MoU will facilitate exchange programmes and sharing of technical know-how.

"Originally initiated in 2010, the renewal of the Indo- French cooperation agreement under this MoU comes at a crucial time when the Indian aviation industry is booming, requiring a highly skilled workforce," said a press statement issued by the AAI.

Alain Vidalies, French Minister of State for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries, currently in India to enhance Indo-French cooperation on transport, and Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju, were also present on the occasion.
