The band claims that Sampath has lifted its song 'Satyamev Jayate' from their album 'Phir Dhoom' for the title track of the show.

"We got to know from people's comments that Aamir Khan's show's promo is carrying the same song like ours. We also heard it and found the similarities. Following that we sent a legal notice to them. We just need a credit for our work," Palash Sen, the band's lead singer, said.

Sampath, on his part, has dismissed the allegations, saying he is ready to clear his name in the court.

"Satyamev Jayate is a show that raises important, pertinent issues of national concern and I would not like attention to be diverted from that. Therefore, I am more than happy to clear my name in court as I have great faith in the Indian judiciary.

"Our team is preparing a strong and fitting reply. I also request people to listen to the two songs before jumping to conclusions," Sampath said in a statement.
