AAP announces to set up a new fruit, vegetable market in Tikri

The AAP government today announced to set up a new fruit and vegetable market near Tikri Khampur area of west Delhi, which is likely to become functional in next two years.

Delhi Development minister Gopal Rai today announced this while distributing allotment letters to 17 shop allottees at Gazipur fruit and vegetable mandi.

A Development department official said that the new market would come up on 70-acre land and it will be built in next two years.

The minister directed officers to issue proper license card to mashakhor for proper sitting arrangement and doing business.

He also directed officers of Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) to issue proper license cards to the various workers/labours of the mandi after verification from various registered labour unions for welfare of these labourers.
 

Rai emphasised on the need of cleanliness and proper sanitation in the surrounding areas of Gazipur Mandi.

In addition, the Delhi Development minister also instructed the officials to install CCTV Cameras in the various part of the Mandi to insure the better safety and security.

He also emphasised on the need to take appropriate measures to end corrupt practises in the Mandi.

He also warned that Government will take strict action against corruption and malpractices in the Mandi.
