The AAP today claimed that its Patel Nagar office was ransacked by volunteers of AAP Volunteers Aawaz Manch (AVAM), a breakaway group of the party.

Party spokesperson Deepak Bajpai claimed that some 60 volunteers of AVAM barged into the Patel Nagar office in the evening under the pretext of protesting against the ongoing crisis in the party.

A senior party leader said the volunteers, under the pretext of carrying out a candle light march, also pitched for a united AAP before carrying out the attack.

"AVAM volunteers ransacked the party office and tore some posters. We have lodged a complaint with the police in this regard," Bajpai said.
