The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) constituted a three-member committee on Punjab today, authorising it to take political and organisational decisions for the state unit.

The decision was taken at a meeting attended by MLAs and all office-bearers of AAP's Punjab unit. Senior party leaders, including Manish Sidodia, Gopal Rai, Pankaj Gupta and Ashutosh, too were present.

The committee will be headed by MP and AAP's Punjab president Bhagwat Mann, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Sukhpal Khaira and co-convenor of the state unit Aman Arora, according to a press statement.

The committee has been authorised to take political and organisation-related decisions on behalf of the state unit of the party.

"It was decided that only unanimous decisions of the committee will be valid and will be implemented," the statement added.

In May, the party had dissolved all its state units.
