Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj today submitted a complaint to Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel against BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa for accusing the Petitions Committee of "blackmailing" officials.
Bharadwaj, the chairperson of the committee, told the House, "An MLA has made public statements against the committee that we are calling officials under the guise of questioning and blackmailing them, instead of doing our work."
The Greater Kailash MLA subsequently lodged a written complaint against Sirsa with the speaker.
The complaint will be sent to the Privileges Committee, which is expected to issue a notice to the Rajouri garden MLA.
