Aam Aadmi Party nominee from Chhota Udaipur Lok Sabha constituency of Gujarat today alleged that Congress candidate and former railway minister of state Naran Rathwa issued him a threat.

"Last night Naran Rathwa called me up and warned me that if I am seen in the Chhota Udaipur constituency, then I would have to face dire consequences," AAP Lok Sabha nominee Arjun Rathwa told mediapersons here.

Arjun said he would file an FIR before the police and also raise this issue before the Election Commission.

Besides Naran Rathwa of the Congress, AAP's Arjun Rathwa will face BJP's Ramsinh Rathwa in Chhota Udaipur seat.

"After I was selected as an AAP nominee for Lok Sabha elections, first some unidentified people pelted stones at my residence and last night I got a direct threat from a Congress candidate," Arjun Rathwa said.

He accused the police of being hand in gloves with the Congress candidate.

He said the threat is a response to a sting operation that he conducted in Naran Rathwa's tribal students school in Chhota Udaipur district.

AAP's Gujarat state convener Sukhdev Patel alleged that the police has been acting in prejudiced manner.
