The Aam Aadmi Party is reviewing the candidature of its former MLA from Trilokpuri Raju Dhingan after clashes had erupted in the east Delhi area last month.

Party sources said he might be retained but a final call would be taken once party's National Convener Arvind Kejriwal returns from 'vipassana'.

A section of the party was unhappy over Dhingan's "ineffective" role during the clashes in Trilokpuri, his constituency. The efforts he made to control the situation is being reviewed, party sources said.

Sources added party has decided not to give tickets to former legislators including former Speaker of the Assembly Maninder Singh Dhir, Raju Dhingan, Dharmendra Koli, Harish Khanna and Rajesh Garg.

"Dhir has quit the party, Harish Khanna and Rajesh Garg have informed that they don't wish to contest elections. As of today, Dhingan will be given the ticket, but a final call would be taken on November 26, once Arvind returns to Delhi. The party is still reviewing his candidature," the party source said.

"There are no issues about his performance as an MLA. But there are conflicting views about the efforts he put in to control the Trilokpuri riots," the source added.
