The Aam Aadmi Party today held a conference with the aim of organising people who would work on protecting the environment.
Those working for the cause of the environment would be called 'environment friends', the party said in a release here.
Delhi minister Gopal Rai, who was present at the conference, said saving the environment was the need of the hour not just in India but across the globe.
"The 'environment friends' will organise programmes such as tree plantation, and prevent waste burning in open in their areas," he said.
