Former Team Anna member Mufti Shamoon Qasmi today said that people rooting for "clean and transparent politics" have been left in the lurch with the recent bickering in AAP.

"AAP formed the government with a resounding victory, giving a hope of clean and transparent politics to the people. But the latest turn of events in the party has left the people disappointed," he said.

Referring to the recent ouster of senior AAP leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav from the party's political affairs committee, Qasmi said, "I had raised the same issues that Prashant Bhushan talked about. If the party would have paid heed to my suggestions then, AAP would not have reached such a stage today."

Criticising AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, Qasmi who was associated with Team Anna during the 2011-12 India Against Corruption movement said that "only few people made decisions during the agitation".

"I was kicked out by Arvind Kejriwal for raising concerns over putting funds generated by the movement in Public Cause Research Foundation (PCRF)," he said.
