A city builder, an aspirant for AAP Lok Sabha nomination, today alleged that the candidate selection process of the party was not "transparent and honest."
"I am disillusioned with AAP which is making a farce of democratic system of candidate selection while the nominees are pre-determined," D S Kulkarni, who had fought and lost the last parliamentary election for Pune seat on Bahujun Samaj Party ticket, told mediapersons here.
Kulkarni said while putting on a facade of transparency, the Aam Aadmi Party "high command" made aspiring candidates to fill in forms giving elaborate details but had no courtesy of informing the rejected candidates the reason for not considering the case.

The disgruntlement of Kulkarni came on close heels of a similar outburst of another aspirant for AAP ticket from Nagpur constituency - Rupa Kulkarni - who accused the party decision makers of taking the applicants for a ride while deciding on the candidate selection in advance.
In the AAP list, Anjali Damania has been named the party candidate from Nagpur to take on Nitin Gadkari of BJP.
