Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Munish Kumar Raizada, who allegedly mislead the volunteers by projected himself as the chief of party's international cell, has been suspended for anti-party activity.

The AAP today said that Raizada, who is based in Chicago, mislead volunteers by floating a website through which he sought ideas and inputs on organisation related activities, portraying it to be a platform of the party's Lokpal.

"He (Raizada) was suspended from the party's primary membership since he floated a parallel platform which he is not authorised to do.

"He also made the internal communication of the party public," said AAP spokesperson Preeti Sharma Menon.

The party's Overseas Affairs Cell is headed by senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas.

Further enquiry will be initiated and Raizada will be asked to present his version, she said.

"We had even given him a notice but he chose not to reply," said Menon, who is also co-ordinator of the party's Overseas Affairs Cell.
