In a bid to take steam out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's much talked about 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', AAP today launched a WhatsApp helpline urging people to send in photos of dirt and filth in their locality which would then be taken up with BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations by the party.

"We want to appeal to Delhiities to report complaints of dirt and filth to municipal corporations. If civic bodies don't register their complaints, people should take photos of dirt and filth in their mobile phones and send them to 8588833540 through our WhatsApp helpline with particular area location," AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal told reporters here.

Kejriwal also said that after receiving such complaints, we will raise people's voice before the MCD.

"After receiving photos of dirth and filth on WhatsApp, we will hand over such complaints to the mayors and make presure on officials to resolve people's problems," the AAP chief also said.

The former Delhi chief minister said that as BJP was in the municiple corporations and "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, civic bodies will take such complaints seriously.

AAP has also decided to take the help of Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) to make Delhi neat and clean.

"We will also take the help of RWAs to ensure that city is neat and clean. We are going to hold a meeting with the representatives of several RWAs on October 12 and will discuss with them on how to make city neat and clean," he added.

On October 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the country's biggest-ever cleanliness drive, asserting that the "Swachh Bharat" mission was "beyond politics" and inspired by patriotism.

Administering a pledge to people to make India clean, Prime Minister had said that this task is not the responsibility only of safai karamcharis or the government but of all the 125 crore Indians.
