The All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) has expressed surprise over the 'dissidence activities by a few politicians in the state' when the state is facing plethora of problem starting from inter-state boundary dispute to racial killing of Nido Tania in New Delhi.
AAPSU president Kamtak Lapang in a statement today said the elected leaders, particularly the state cabinet should rise to the occasion and stand together to find out solution to every problem confronting the state and its people.
"Shockingly, a few politicians instead of working for the greater interest of the people and the state, are reportedly lobbying in Delhi for a change in leadership. It is for them to reply whether they are interested in the cause of the people or only in their vested interest," Lapang said.

While pointing out the recent Tarasso incident, boundary dispute, week-long economic blockade on NH 52, death of Arunachalee boy Nido Tania in National capital, increase in corruption cases and law and order problems which are cause of concern, the AAPSU also raised question on timing for dissidence activities.
"It is time for the Arunachal leaders to plan strategy for enactment of anti-racial law, strengthen the Border Affairs department with adequate manpower to deal with recurring inter-state boundary problems, expedite the process for the Union Home Ministry to act on the report submitted by the Local Boundary Commission constituted by the Supreme Court," it pointed out.
