Poyom was abducted allegedly by a group of students led by the Assistant General Secretary of Dera Natung Government College Lizen Gyadi at around 2.30 PM and taken to a jungle where he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons, Capital Complex SP Hibu Tamang said.
Police rescued Poyom in a serious condition. He was admitted to the Rama Krishna Mission Hospital here, Tamang said.
Gyadi, his elder brother, Pebo Gyadi along with two other youths were arrested. PTI UPL PR
