The All Arunachal Pradesh Student Union (AAPSU) today pledged support to APPSCE aspirant Ujum Perying, who has threatened to go on a 72-hour hunger strike from January 8 if APPSC Chairman Ligu Tacho and APPSC member Mamang Dai did not resign from posts over the APPSC examination paper leak fiasco.

"The suspension of the commission's officials, particularly the Joint Secretary-cum-controller of examination, in connection with the issue has raised our concern," the union said in a release.

"The confidentiality of any paper cannot be ascertained when the controller of examination, who has access to all the confidential files, is under the scanner," it added.

The union also demanded that a copy of the inquiry report of the matter should be made available to the consultative committee.
