The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has urged Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju to take up the issue of Chinese claim over the state's territory and issuance of stapled visa to the people of the state.

A team of AAPSU headed by its vice-president Toko Happy submitted a memorandum to Rijiju on Saturday demanding immediate solution for the issues confronting the state.

The memorandum includes the demands for expulsion of Chakma-Hajong refugees and foreign nationals from the state besides finding a permanent solution to the decades-old Assam-Arunachal boundary issue.

"The state government should take up the issues raised by AAPSU because it is related to the welfare of the students and people of the state," a message from AAPSU said.

The government should address the 'genuine' demands of the state so that bandh calls and other democratic movements are stopped in the state, Toko said quoting the minister.
