Aaranyak felicitates police team for preventing poaching in

Aaranyak, a premier NGO working in the field of wildlife research and conservation in the North East, today felicitated the police team of Jakhalabanda Police Station in upper Assam for preventing poaching attempts in Kaziranga National Park.

Speaking at the function, Aaranyak Secretary General Bibhab Kumar Talukdar lauded their continued efforts under the leadership of the Officer In-charge Deben Bora and for arresting rhino poachers along with arms and ammunitions and preventing many poaching attempts in world heritage site KNP.

Village Defence Organisation (VDP) for Nagaon circle Commanding Officer Upen Hazarika appreciated the police team for its success and efforts in nailing down many rhino poachers in recent months.
 

Jakhalabunda police station OC Deben Bora said he has always received good support from his team and higher officers which has resulted in arrest of many rhino poachers and assured his team will continue with their efforts.

Aaranyak donated two country boats to the two VDPs near Burhapahar for their patrol duty.
