DNA expert from Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad, S P R Prasad told the court that there had been a botch up in the numbering of Hemraj and Krishna's DNA sample test reports which has been rectified and now there is a clear distinction between the two samples.

When the reports were submitted to CBI, they found that the samples from Hemraj's room matched Krishna's DNA and vice-versa. Surprised by the result, the CBI then sent the letter to the CDFD which examined and found the mix-up in numbering of the reports.

It was rectified and their DNA matched with the samples taken from the respective rooms.

Teenager Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj were murdered in 2008 and her parents, dentists Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, are being tried for the killings.
