Abducted bank cashier's body found

The body of a bank cashier, who was abducted from Tatidiri in Garwah district over 10 days ago, was today recovered from Saltwa jungle of Palamau district.

Jaineel Pandey's body was found following the arrest of two accused Niranjan Singh and Shivpujan Singh, said DIG (Palamau) Saket Kumar Singh.

Shivpujan gave the leads during interrogation. Jaineel Pandey, a cashier of a Vananchal Bank of Tatidiri branch.

Pandey, who was a cashier of Tatidiri branch of Vananchal Bank, was abducted while he was returning home after duty on the evening of June 9.

The identity of his body was established from the bank identity card recovered from near the spot, his clothes and some personal belonging, Singh said.
 

Police have recovered two pistols from the two men, he said adding that the reason behind the abduction was yet to be ascertained.
