A 13-year-old girl was abducted by two youths from her house in Ulhasnagar township in the district, police said today.

However, the gritty teenager gave her captors a slip and returned her house late last night, within hours after she was allegedly abducted, a police official said.

The incident occurred last afternoon when the teenager, who was alone in her house, answered the door bell, he said.

"The two unidentified youths standing at the door sprayed something on the face of the girl, following which she fell unconscious. The duo then abducted her on their motorcycle," the official said quoting the complaint.

The girl's mother received a call from the unidentified duo on her mobile phone later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the girl picked up a bottle and attacked her abductors who were forcing her to change her dress and escaped from the room where she was briefly taken to, he said.

"As the girl was rushing towards her house, she spotted a friend of her father and appealed to him for help. However, before he could react, the abductor duo arrived at the spot and took her away," the Vitthalwadi police station official said.

The girl again rescued herself from the clutches of her abductors and returned home last night, he said.

An FIR was registered against the duo under various sections of the IPC and further investigation is on.
