Abducted high school principal rescued

An abducted government high school Principal was today rescued from a hideout at Kharagpur area in Bihar's Munger district, a police officer said.

A joint team of Munger police and Special Task Force (STF) rescued Subodh Sah, Principal of government high school in Baijalpur village, from a hideout located between Ladaiya and Kharagpur villages, Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha said.

The 50-year-old Sah was kidnapped for ransom yesterday from his government residence by seven members of Ranjan Bind gang and taken to a hilly village where he was kept for 24 hours, he said.

The hideout of the abductors were tracked through surveillance of the mobile phones of the gang members who specialise in kidnapping of teachers, Sinha said.
 

Two abductors have been detained for questioning, the SP said.
