Two persons, one of them from Punjab, have been arrested for abducting a minor girl from north Kashmir's Baramulla district, the police said today.
The abducted girl from Punjab has been rescued, a police spokesperson said here.
A complaint was registered at Kunzar Police Station that a minor girl was abducted on November 18 by one Arjun Singh, a resident of Punjab.

During investigation, it came to the fore that Singh, with the help of the girl's maternal aunt, abducted her from Batpora area of Kunzer, the spokesperson said.
Subsequently, a police party was sent to Punjab. After strenuous and joint efforts with the Punjab police, the accused was arrested and the abducted girl was rescued, he said.
After medical examination and completion of legal formalities the girl was haded over to her parents, the spokesperson said, adding a case has been registered against both the accused and investigation is underway.
