"Governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi lauded the success of the security forces in the shape of safe recovery of the kidnapped MPA and directed them to shift him to Peshawar," the report quoted a Governor House official as saying.
Hasan was kidnapped by an armed group in June this year near Sargodha in Pakistan's Punjab province.
On June 1, the lawmaker had been abducted along with his wife Zeba.
They were taken in two separate cars before she was dropped off somewhere near Rawalpindi and was told to arrange Rs50 million within three days for his release, the report said.
Security officials, however, did not say whether any ransom was paid to secure Hasan's release.
Hasan was elected to the Punjab Assembly from PP-174 (Nankana Sahib) and was part of the Public Accounts Committee-II in the provincial assembly.
