About 400 kg of processed sea cucumber, an endangered species, was recovered from a farm between Dhanushkodi and Rameswaram today by forest department personnel and police.
The consignment is estimated to be worth Rs two crore in the international market.
The officials, acting on a tip off, went to the area.Some persons who were there fled on seeing them.
Sea cucumber is in great demand in the Far East countries for its medicinal value.
