Mercury settled above normal levels in the national capital today even as shallow foggy conditions early in the morning led to the cancellation of 13 trains.
According to a MeT department official, the visibility was recorded at 800 metres at Safdarjung at 5.30 AM and improved to 1,500 metres at 11.30 AM.
The visibility at Palam was 400 metres both at 5.30 AM and 8.30 AM. It improved to 1,500 metres at 11.30 AM, the official said.

However, flight operation was normal, according to Delhi Airport website.
The city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, while the maximum temperature settled at 24.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
The humidity level oscillated between 97 and 34 per cent, the MeT official said.
The weatherman has predicted mainly clear skies for tomorrow with shallow to moderate fog in the morning.
"Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle around 24 and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius and 10.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
