Absconder arrested after 6 years

A man, who has been evading arrest in connection with a criminal case for six years, was today arrested from Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, the police said.

Acting on a tip-off, the personnel attached to the Manjakote police station launched a manhunt in the Hayatpura- Manjakote area and arrested Mohammad Naseer, who had been absconding for six years, said a police officer.

Naseer was wanted in a case registered under sections 451 and 323 of the Ranbir Panel Code (RPC) at the Manjakote police station in 2011, he added.
