A youth, who was absconding after allegedly murdering a 17-year-old girl and her mother after they objected to him and his friend urinating in front of their house in south Delhi, was arrested, police said today.
Mohd Javed, the main accused in the case, was apprehended from Humayun's Tomb on Saturday. His associate Zaki had surrendered in a UP court on November 20, 2012, a day after he along with Javed allegedly shot at Binno and her mother Sadmani in Nizamuddin in Nizamuddin.
The incident occurred when the girl's mother Sadmani noticed their neighbours Javed and Zaki urinating in front of their house and raised an objection, leading to an argument between them, police said.
During investigations, it came to light that both had past criminal records. Javed had come out of jail in April 2012. Zaki had a criminal case of attempt to murder registered against him in Gulawathi in UP.
