Continuing their protest against the controversial four-year undergraduate programme in Delhi University, members of ABVP and AISA today held demonstrations at Arts Faculty in North Campus, demanding immediate rollback of FYUP.

The protesters also raised slogans against DU Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh and some ABVP members burnt the effigy of the VC.

"Delhi University should immediately scrap FYUP and start admission process under the three-year undergraduate programme. We will not sit silent till our demand is met," Rahul Raj Mishra of AISA said.

AISA members said that DU should also scrap its B Tech course as its labs allegedly do not fulfill all norms laid down by the University Grants Commission.

"DU's labs don't have facility for B Tech students. Besides, they do not fulfill norms laid down by the UGC. Hence, DU should scrap its B Tech course," Mishra alleged.

Staging the protest, ABVP's national secretary Rohit Chahal said, "DU and UGC should immediately resolve the FYUP issue as thousands of students are being affected.
