ABVP state unit president (Technical cell) Amitabh Senapati, East Singhbhum district convenor Satnam Singh and Ravi Prakash Singh and others staged dharna in front of the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner's office.
Later, a delegation of the organisation handed over a memorandum addressed to the Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed to the deputy commissioner.
The demands included constitution of a commission for proper implementation of the Private University Act, setting up of a technical university to check migration of talent to other states in search of professional educations, and bringing about an act to rein in the mushrooming coaching centres.
