The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested the chief medical and health officer of Dungarpur district for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 for signing some documents related to the pension of a retired food inspector, a senior official said.
The accused had demanded the bribe from retired food inspector Gyan Prakash Sharma, he said.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and he was caught while accepting the bribe in his office, additional SP-ACB Dungarpur Gulab Singh said.
He has been placed under arrest under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, he said.
