Anti-Corruption Bureau today conducted searches at the residence and office of a Motor Vehicle Inspector here and unearthed assets worth Rs 1.5 crore, an official said.
"The raids were conducted on residential premises and office of Appa Rao following complaints against him. Separate teams also conducted similar raids at the places of his relatives in Kakinada," said ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police, P. Ramachandra Rao.
He said ACB has so far detected assets worth Rs 1.5 crore and investigating whether they are disproportionate to his known source of income.
"The exact value of the assets would be known only after the final assessment which is in progress," he added.
