ACB seizes assets worth over Rs 2.19 crore from officials

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has seized assets worth over Rs 2.19 crore belonging to two government officials in Adilabad and Warangal districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Simultaneous searches conducted at the house and residential quarters of G Hamsa Reddy, Superintendent of Engineer, Roads and Buildings, Adilabad district on April 10 yielded assets worth over Rs 1,38,30,933, an ACB release said here today.

During the searches, houses, cash, gold as well as silver ornaments, bank balances, besides open plots and vehicles were seized, the ACB release said.

In another case, ACB officials conducted searches at the residence of M Venugopal, Forest Range Officer of Warangal district on April 11 and seized assets worth more than Rs 81,12,447.
 

Both the cases are being investigated, the ACB release said.
