ACB sleuths arrest motor vehicles inspector for graft

ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught Motor Vehicles Inspector N Ramesh red-handed in his office in Srikakulam district while he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 8,000 from D Jagannadha Reddy for giving him fitness certificate, a police official said here today.

According to Srikakulam DYSP (ACB) Sri Ranga Raju, complainant Jagannadha Reddy is a tractor owner who approached the Motor Vehicles Inspector for a fitness certificate for his tractor, after which the Motor Vehicles Inspector demanded Rs 8,000 from him.

Jagannadha Reddy approached ACB officials who laid a trap, and seized the bribe amount from the inspector, after which he was arrested.
