ACB unearths assets disproportionate to official's income

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has unearthed assets worth about Rs 1.3 crore allegedly belonging to an architectual draughtsman at the Urban Development Authority Office in Vijayawada, ACB officials said here today.

The ACB registered a case of disproportionate assets against P Madhusudhana Rao.

It conducted simultaneous raids at different places covering his residence as well as his residences of his relatives and friends at Vijayawada, Tirupati and Hyderabad.

Assets worth about Rs 1.3 crore including residences, gold and household articles among others were unearthed, an ACB release said.

The present market value of the above assets is about Rs 3 crore. The case is being investigated.
