The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan Police will soon submit its probe report on the alleged irregularities in a recruitment drive conducted by the Kota University, the state government said today.

Replying to the call attention motion moved by BJP MLA Heeralal Nagar in the Rajasthan Assembly, Minister In-charge G C Kataria said investigation into the case was underway and the ACB will soon be submitting its report to the government.

In his motion, Nagar had said that even after two years of probe, the ACB's report was not out yet.

He also alleged that there was corruption and irregularities in several appointments especially in the appointment of the Vice Chancellor's son.

In his reply, Kataria also said that the charges levelled against the university's Vice-Chancellor for appointment of his son was found to be incorrect by the ACB.

Intervening in the debate, Higher Education Minister K C Saraf said a three-member departmental committee on the case was set up on March 15 and its term was extended by a month after it could not file its report in 15 days.

The recruitment process of Kota university has been stayed, the minister said.

Replying to another question of BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal, MoS for Labour S P Titi said that 12,657 out of 20,065 cases of compensation to labourers were settled and remaining would be taken up on priority.

Twenty-one departmental commissioners have been given judicial powers to expedite the pendency of cases, Titi said.
