"The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Raminder Singh Gujral, IAS (Haryana cadre 1976 batch), Finance Secretary, and Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance as Finance Secretary and Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance," a statement from the Department of Personnel and Training said today.
Besides, the ACC also approved the appointment of Sumit Bose, IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1976 batch), Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance as Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, it said.
The key change in the Ministry came within a week of P Chidambaram taking charge as the Finance Minister on August 1.
