IT consulting firm Accenture today formed an alliance with software testing tools and services provider firm Applause for facilitating wide testing facilities for technology companies.
Applause works on crowd community model where 250,000 testing professional independently offer their testing service while Accenture has 35,000 testing professionals with the company.
"Crowdsourcing will supplement, not replace, traditional staffing capabilities and provide flexible access to in-demand talent that can help clients improve the end-to-end performance of their websites, mobile applications and Internet of Things devices," Accenture Technology Services group chief executive Bhaskar Ghosh said in a statement.

As part of the alliance relationship, Accenture Ventures also made a minority investment in Applause, the statement said.
"The 60,000 women testers in the Applause crowd can be tapped to effectively test applications for products and services specifically targeted for women," the statement said.
