The CB-CID, which is probing the Vicky Tyagi murder case, has given clean chit to one of the 11 accused citing lack of evidence against him.

The investigation agency today filed a report under section 169 of the CrPC saying that there is no evidence against Brijbir Singh in connection with the case.

Tyagi, a gangster, was gunned down by a shooter during a court hearing in another case here in February in 2015.

An alleged shooter Sagar was arrested from the spot while Brijbir was nabbed the next day.

Police had registered a case against 11 people, including four police officials.

The Uttar Pradesh government had handed the investigation into the murder case from local police to CB-CID in November last year.
