Three days after a constable was shot dead by three goons, one of the accused, who sustained bullet injuries in the encounter thereafter and was taken into custody, was shifted to the district jail today after he was remanded to judicial custody by a magistrate, at the hospital where he was being treated.
Gyasi, who was one of the three bike-borne men involved in the shootout, was shifted to the district jail at Dasna after the magistrate remanded him to judicial custody after taking his statement and examining his injuries at the hospital, City Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal Sharma said.
Considering his serious injuries, district jail authorities further referred him to the district hospital where he is getting treatment under judicial custody.
