An accused in the murder of a Hindu outfit activist, who was hacked to death by a four-member gang in Coimbatore in September last year, was arrested today, police said.
Saddam was arrested at Karumathampatti, on the outskirts, they said.
Sasikumar, district spokesperson of the organisation, was returning home in Subramaniampalayam, in the outskirts, on a two-wheeler when the unidentified assailants chased him on motorcycles and attacked him with sickles on September 22 last year.

Saddam will be produced before a judicial magistrate court here tomorrow and efforts are on to apprehend the other accused involved the case, they said.
