Accused in Nasirpur violence booked under NSA: Officials

One of the accused in the Nasirpur village violence case, in which a man was killed and six others wounded, here has been booked under the stringent National Security Act, district authorities said today.

According to district magistrate G S Priyadarshi, accused Israr, who is under arrest, has been booked under the NSA in connection with the case.

On June 5, a clash broke out between two groups due to an overflowing drain at Nasirpur village. One person, identified as 22-year-old Akash, was killed due to bullet injuries and six others, including his father, were injured, the police had said.
 

The Uttar Pradesh police had then arrested 20 people, including Israr, on charges of murder and rioting.
