According to Afzal Khan, producer of 'God Tussi Great Ho', 'Mehbooa' and 'Hum Kisese Kum Nahin', his sister-in-law Rubina Khan was turning a family dispute into a criminal case.
Rubina has also filed an application through her lawyer Mahesh Wasvani, opposing the anticipatory bail pleas. Rubina alleged that on February 27, Afzal and 14 others assaulted her, tore her clothes, molested her and attempted to kill her by throttling her neck.
She has also alleged that they took away her gold chain weighing seven grams.
The bail pleas will come up for hearing on June 25.
As per Afzal, on the day of the incident, there was an altercation between Rubina and another woman, Shayna Shaikh, when the latter scolded Rubina's children.
Afzal's application denies all the charges, saying he did not commit any of these alleged acts.
