ACME Solar commissions 25 MW solar plant in Madhya Pradesh

Energy management firm ACME Solar today said it has commissioned a 25 MW power plant at Khilchipur in Madhya Pradesh.

With the commencement of operations at this plant in Rajgarh district, ACME Solar's total generation capacity has increased to 42.5 MW, a company release said here.

ACME Solar is a joint venture between ACME Cleantech and French firms EDF Energies Nouvelles and EREN.

"The commissioning of the Khilchipur plant positions ACME Solar as the leader in the field of solar power generation. With partners like EDF EN and EREN, ACME Solar will be at the forefront of serving the nation through higher uptake of renewable energy," ACME Group Chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay.
 

The power generated from this unit will be evacuated through a 132 kV line linked to project site and supplied to Madhya Pradesh under an agreement signed with MP Power Management Company in October 2012.

With the latest addition, ACME Solar now has plants in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, generating a total of 42.5 MW. The company is in process of commissioning another 25 MW facility in Odisha, the release added.
