ACME starts power generation from 25 MW solar plant in MP

ACME Solar has started power generation from the 25 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh, taking its total operational capacity to 42.5 MW.

The company is a joint venture between ACME Cleantech, EDF Energies Nouvelles and EREN, Luxembourg.

In a statement today, ACME Solar said it has started commercial operations of its 25 MW plant in Khilchipur, Madhya Pradesh. Electricity generated from the project is for supply to the state itself.

The company said the plant was commissioned in "record time of 150 days starting from foundation stone laying to electricity generation".

ACME Group chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay said: "With partners like EDF EN and EREN, ACME Solar will be at the forefront of serving the nation through higher uptake of renewable energy in the country."
 

ACME Solar also has plants in Gujarat and Rajasthan. It is in the process of commissioning 25 MW project in Odisha.
